MEXICO CITY, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will participate in his sixth FIFA World Cup after being named in Mexico's squad for the tournament on Sunday.
The 40-year-old has played in every edition of football's showpiece since 2006 and is the third most-capped player in Mexico's history with 153 international appearances.
Other experienced players on the 26-man list include captain Edson Alvarez and striker Raul Jimenez.
Manager Javier Aguirre also included 23-year-old forward Armando Gonzalez and 17-year-old attacking midfielder Gilberto Mora, who is poised to become the youngest player to represent Mexico at a World Cup.
The squad includes two naturalized players: Spain-born midfielder Alvaro Fidalgo and Colombia-born forward Julian Quinones.
Mexico is co-hosting the June 11-July 19 tournament alongside the United States and Canada.
El Tri will begin its campaign against South Africa on June 11 before facing South Korea and Czechia in Group A.
