DOHA, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani condemned the terrorist attacks in Burkina Faso which left seven people dead, Qatar's state news agency (QNA) reported Saturday.

Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has expressed his condemnation of the terrorist attacks that took place in Burkina Faso's capital, Ouagadougou and left more than seven people dead, Qatar's state news agency (QNA) reported Saturday.

The condemnation came during a telephone conversation between Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Burkina Faso President Roch Marc Christian Kabore.

Al-Thani also stressed on Qatar's support of Burkina Faso in the face of extremism and terrorism, regardless of its motives and reasons.

Qatar also sent its condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the people of Burkina Faso, according to the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Burkina Faso came under multiple attacks on Friday, targeting the French embassy, the French cultural center and the country's military headquarters, killing at least seven soldiers.
